Terms of Use

Last updated March 07, 2026

These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of Zonera ('we', 'us', or 'our'), a web-based platform for location analysis and demographic insights, available at zonera.io and app.zonera.io.

By creating an account or using our Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

1. The Service

Zonera provides location analysis tools including demographic data, competitive insights, and downloadable reports for business use. The underlying demographic data is sourced from public datasets (primarily CBS — Statistics Netherlands) published under open licences.

2. Account

To use the Services, you must create an account with a valid email address. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. You must notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.

3. Subscription and payment

Zonera offers free and paid subscription plans. Paid plans are billed through our payment provider, Stripe. By subscribing to a paid plan, you agree to their terms of service.

Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the end of the billing period. You can cancel at any time from your account settings. Upon cancellation, you retain access until the end of the current billing period.

Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. Contact us at [email protected] if you believe you are entitled to a refund.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use automated tools to scrape or systematically extract data from the Services
  • Redistribute Zonera reports or data as a competing service
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems or other users' accounts
  • Use the Services for any unlawful purpose
  • Overload the Services with excessive requests or denial-of-service attacks

5. Intellectual property

The Zonera platform — including its code, design, brand, and documentation — is our property and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

The demographic data displayed in reports is sourced from public datasets (e.g. CBS) published under open licences such as CC BY 4.0. You may use the data in your reports for your own business purposes, provided you comply with the original licence terms.

Reports you generate are yours to use for internal business purposes, share with clients, or include in presentations. You may not resell bulk report generation as a standalone service.

6. Disclaimer

The data and insights provided by Zonera are for informational purposes only and do not constitute professional advice (legal, financial, or otherwise). We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of the data, as it depends on third-party sources (CBS and others) that we do not control.

You should not rely solely on Zonera data for making business decisions. We recommend consulting qualified professionals for matters that require expert judgement.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Zonera shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Services, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or business opportunities.

Our total liability for any claim related to the Services shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

8. Force majeure

We shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations where such failure or delay results from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to: natural disasters, war, terrorism, pandemics, power or internet outages, government actions, or failures of third-party services we depend on.

9. Termination

You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be indicated by the 'Last updated' date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Services after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Spain. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of Spain.

12. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

13. Entire agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Zonera regarding your use of the Services and supersede any prior agreements.
